HOW TO ENJOY YOUR PURE VERMONT MAPLE SYRUP:
For breakfast, lunch, dinner, or afternoon snack - the possibilities are endless! From drizzling over pancakes to glazing wild-caught Alaska salmon, you're sure to enjoy the rich depth of flavor that maple syrup brings to your table.
Syrup is best served warm. This will enrich the flavor and improve consistency. Pour the amount needed into a serving container and warm by stovetop or microwave.
Please note: Maple syrup left around the rim of your storage jug/jar can harden into sugar, making it hard to open for subsequent use. If this happens, hold the cover/ring area under hot tap water for 30 seconds. Remove from stream and open in an upright position. The heated water will release the hardened sugars. Clean with warm water to remove syrup from unwanted areas.
1 Pint Reusable Mason Jar
Prior to use, store in a cool, dry area.
Maple syrup is shelf-stable until the container is opened. The best way to store the container, once opened, is in the refrigerator or the freezer. The freezer is best for long-term storage. Your syrup will not freeze to a solid state.Crystalization: You may experience sugar crystalization in the bottom of your syrup container after extended storage. To prevent excessive crystalizaton, do not pour warmed syrup back into its original container. Each time syrup is heated, small amounts of fluid evaporate and thicken the syrup, causing sugar crystals to form over time. No need to worry - the crystals are just as delicious as the liquid syrup! When you have finished your jug of syrup, heat the outside of the container under hot tap water, give it a shake to release the formed crystals from the jug, and simply pour the crystals out into a bowl. You will have a treat similar to "rock candy", only tastier!
